Our Story
From the founder
I was born and raised in Poole, and spent seven years working frontline for the ambulance service. But my hippie soul longed for creative freedom; I’ve always had a deep passion for live music, the outdoors, living my life soul-led and free spirited.
Around seven years ago, I took a leap into business with just a 50p investment in a vintage scarf, selling on Depop. What started as a small side hustle quickly grew into a luxury cowhide handbag brand, taking me across festivals and country fairs around the UK. Those summers on the road sparked something special: immersed in the atmosphere, meeting artists, and soaking up the sound, I fell in love with country music, a passion that’s stayed with me ever since.
When the time came to hang up my festival boots, I felt inspired to create something that truly reflected who I am. That’s how Lavender Moon was born, a space that embraces individuality and captures my personality: quirky, free-spirited, a little hippie at heart, and always warm, friendly, and welcoming.

Each member of our Poole family was drawn to Lavender Moon for the same reason our customers keep coming back: an unshakeable belief that being unapologetically yourself is the most powerful thing you can be. Our very own country darlin’! Lead singer of country folk band Route 66, Amie was raised on country music. When she isn’t styling your favourite outfits, sippin’ hot chocolate or creating viral reels she’s onstage performing to Dorset’s country and western community!
Onstage she commands attention with powerful vocals, but on the shop floor you’ll catch her charm and friendly smile, always becoming our regular’s favourite!
Ollins
Sales Assistant & Social Media
Glam rock meets country soul! Country enthusiast & long time fan of the store. His interview consisted of a 10/10 vibe check and an in depth conversation on country music preferences. He is the king of cowboy boot tips, and a dab hand at social media entertainment!
The second in our gang of country musicians, when he’s not selling you your dream get up, he’s down our local Honkytonk hosting his own Country Songwriter evening.
Luna
Emotional Support & Intruder Alarm
Luna takes her role as security officer and customer joy bringer very seriously. You will hear her long before you see her as her vocal alarm is far greater than her size.
Avid fan of her Doggy Parton denim jacket & pink cowboy hat, Luna will be on hand to approve your outfits & provide motivational belly rubs.
